Our math, your power

NetMW has been up and running since 2015, but its story goes all the way back to 2001. That’s when MarketMath was born, with the vision to bring top math and tech to the Nordic power market. First, we focused on risk (CaeSaR, launched 2002). From there, we grew into pricing (Pluto, launched 2003), gradually adding deeper follow-up and analysis (Pluto Admin Tool, launched 2007). NetMW takes all that knowledge to the next level: A complete yet easy-to-use portfolio management system for power.

Today, power producers, consumers and retailers all over northern Europe use NetMW to manage their power portfolios, their trades and their risks.

Our dedicated expert team keeps track of the ever-changing power market, adapting the system and introducing new functionality, to make sure that NetMW is the best tool for you to manage your power, today as well as tomorrow.

NetMW is a product born from MarketMath Europe AB - a company with a firm belief that math, science and technology are the keys to creating solutions that bring the world forward.

FAQ

What are some of the key features of NetMW?

Hedge

NetMW compares your current hedge with your prognosis and hedge policy and determines how your hedge should be adjusted. With just one button click, you execute the list of hedge trades in NetMW.

Use the same functionality to hedge groups of portfolios. NetMW distributes the transactions correctly among the individual portfolios with no loss of information from treating the whole group in one go.

Attention to detail

Follow up on all the details of the registered contracts: Zoom in on different elements or zoom out for an overview.

Enter metered data and let NetMW calculate monthly settlements. With NetMW’s API you can feed the settlement price into your billing system.

Make offers and receive requests

Set up NetMW accounts for your customers and let them see your price list in realtime. Your customers send requests via NetMW for you to approve or deny. Approved requests get registered as transactions with confirmations and reports instantly available in the system.

Forward curves

Contracts not yet in delivery are valued using forward curves based on marked prices from Nasdaq Commodities and currencies from Refinitiv. Contracts in delivery are settled against official Nord Pool spot prices. Prices are set in the contract’s trading currency and converted (daily) into the chosen report currency.
